FOREMAN

Robert Koppenhaver Builder & Contracting Co is looking for an energetic Working Foreman to join our team. This person will be tasked to lead, manage, and coordinate construction projects in accordance with Company policies/procedures and required regulations. Daily interaction and communication with customers, vendors, team members, and management is required.


Essential Functions

  • Coordinate job duties and delegate tasks to construction workers and sub-contractors

  • Engage in all aspects of construction necessary to complete a project

  • Ensure quality skills are applied by each workman, and guarantee product quality is achieved by working accurately and efficiently

  • Make sure all safe work practices and safe housekeeping practices are followed at all times

  • Document daily activities and material/parts used

  • Create and maintain positive working relationships with crew members, vendors, suppliers, and sub-contractors to maintain a timely flow of supplies, materials, and sub-contractor work

 

Experience, Competencies and Education

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Valid PA drivers license

  • Field Construction experience

  • Equipment operation experience is a plus

  • Strong work ethic

  • Reliable employee

  • Detail oriented

  • Strong communication skills

  • Must be a self-starter

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings/prints is preferred

  • Ability to lift 50 - 100 lbs when necessary during the course of performing their necessary duties

CARPENTER / MASON

Robert Koppenhaver Builder & Contracting Co is looking for an energetic Carpenter / Mason to join our team. This person will be tasked to work in a wide variety of projects in accordance with Company policies/procedures and required regulations. Daily interaction and communication with customers, vendors, team members, and management is required. 


Essential Functions

  • Engage in all aspects of construction necessary to complete a project

  • Guarantee product quality is achieved by working accurately and efficiently

  • Work within company safety guidelines 

  • Document daily activities and material/parts used

  • Create and maintain positive working relationships with crew members, vendors, suppliers, and sub-contractors to maintain a timely flow of supplies, materials, and sub-contractor work

  • Measure, cut and construct various frameworks for structures, including walls, ceilings and floors

  • Installing structures such as roofing frames, rafters, partitions, joists and stud work

  • Installing cabinets, shelving, fitted furniture, drywall and insulation

  • Adding fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks, hinges and closures

  • Selecting lumber by size and strength to suit each job

  • Experience of using hand and power tools such as drills, chisels, sanders, saws and nail guns

 

Experience, Competencies and Education

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Valid PA drivers license

  • Experience in laying block and brick

  • Experience pouring and finishing concrete

  • Field Construction experience 

  • Equipment operation experience is a plus

  • Reliable with a strong work ethic

  • Detail oriented

  • Strong communication skills

  • Must be a self-starter

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings/prints is preferred

  • Ability to lift 50-100 lbs when necessary
